If
you have fond memories of trips to Grandma's house, then you will
appreciate spending time at Clayton's Dogwood Inn. From your first
step inside our spacious, well-appointed home, comfort is an obvious
priority. It's pretty common to smell freshly baked cookies or simmering
orange pecan fudge (our house specialty). The freshly ground coffee
aroma will bring you downstairs in the morning to a hot homestyle
breakfast. Fresh and dried homegrown herbs from our diamond garden
often complement your meal. Several types of mint, dill, parsley,
or lemon thyme might appear as garnish, flavoring, or in flower
arrangements to brighten table or nightstand. |
In
the rural mountains of East TN our B&B rests in picturesque
Erwin. The home, built in 1952, boasts over 4,000 square feet
and four spacious guest rooms on our second floor. Your choice
of twin or queen bed accommodations await in our beautifully appointed
rooms. From the crimson-colored walls and canopy bed of our Three
Sisters Chamber to the sunny yellow
walls and picket fence headboards of the Rose Chamber, each has
its own charm. Fall asleep to the distant sounds of the train
whistles which frequent downtown Erwin. Relax in our richly wood-paneled
library or watch the bird feeders from the sun porch. Antique
furniture and collectibles fill each floor. Breakfast includes
specialties such as our Crab Strata and many baked goods including
Aunt Joy's Cinnamon Buns. This may be your first B&B experience,
but we doubt it will be your last.
